I can't decide which one i want! The price of these two are right in my range. Whichever one i get will eventually be used to carry, but mainly used for defense and some fun at the ranges. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Two different styles of trigger. Have you fired and had experience with da/sa, like that of the Sig? I personally like it, but the Ruger sr series guns have such a fantastic trigger, like that of SAO, that I'd have to go with it. I can see how this would be a hard choice though. Sig makes some of the most quality firearms there are. Good luck with your decision man!
As for help, I'd choose the gun with the trigger type I've had most experience with and which I shoot the best. This is why I would choose the Ruger sr40.
I bought the Ruger SR40 and I'm glad I did. This gun can be had brand-new for around $450 (including FFL) . After around 1,000 rounds, I must say she breaks in really nice and is accurate as the day is long. I will not trade or sell, it's my HD / Car and sometimes carry gun

Thanks guys. I've handled both the ruger and the sig I'm looking at is the 2022. I've heard alot if great things about the ruger and i really like the magazine capacity it has but the sig just feels so much better in my hands. Plus i really like the look of the sig (note, looks of the gun are not a deciding factor). I'm still torn.

In the end, feel is very important. don't ever buy a firearm that doesn't "fit" your hand(s)
