I believe that friend of mine just put a " Hogue " slip-over grip on his & it made it feel much better. I think those are good home defense weapons, too.

It's got a pretty large grip, and it's not mine, so I'll point him in the right direction and let him decide. My first take was the Hogues, but I've got bigger mitts.

I love Ruger revolvers and bolt guns but have not found a Ruger Pistol I like yet...They all seem to be big, blocky, w/mushy DA triggers.

I really like the company as whole and own several of there products but I've not yet been impressed with the design of their pistols.

I know there are many LCP devotes here, not looking to get any of your panties in a bunch. I'm just waiting for a great company to deliver an auto that's slim, tight, crisp, and does not require double jointed wrists to disassemble/reassemble..."Think .22/.45"

I know they have a couple of new pistol designs out there that I've not tried yet. If any of you can recommend one that's again, slim, tight, and crisp, I'll give it shot.

My first handgun was a p89 with a decocker. Not the best handgun in the world, but hard to beat for the money. They're tough and will last a long tie.

Just saying the disassemble of a P series is pretty simple....don't get where the double jointed wrist fits in. Is that like limp wrist shooting?

Nope. Was refering to the only Ruger Auto Pistol I've ever owned. A .22/.45. This is there standard plinking .22 auto w/a poly reciever designed to mimic the grip angle the 1911. The idea was economic practice for 1911 guys.

Try to reassemble one and you'll understand the "double jointed wrist" comment.

I've owned a P85 close to a decade ago. It was a good shooting little 9mm, however it never really grew on me and it was on top of the "trade up" list.

Nothing wrong w/ it, just nothing real special either.
