I must've been lucky. The LC9 & LCP I owned were flawless in function. I just got rid of them once I realized my distaste for the long trigger pull, after experiencing single action. I used Remington UMC in both as well as Blazer Brass and nary an issue, as stated.

Limp wristing can be cause for this, but if you've shot other handguns and haven't had this issue arise until now, then it's not too likely the case.

Edit: just saw this post is year old. Who brings up this crapola?

Every pocket gun including the LC9 has issues with hollowpoints in my experience. Gonna try the Shield. Smallest I trust 100% is Kahr or Glock subs...

You might want to try the Federal Guard Dog ammunition for self defense loads. It is an Expanding Full Metal Jacket bullet. It will feed in just about anything and is one of the best defensive bullets available for concealed carry. Being a light, high velocity bullet it is more comfortable to shoot in the smaller guns.
