Default Ruger American .45

As y'all all should know, I don't like polymer handguns. However, I have just been playing with the new Ruger American .45, and I like the way it feels. Has anybody here shot one? If so, how does it shoot?

Possum,
You might want to check out the Ruger Forum. There are some articles on the pistols there. Buy you can read my comments there! I was impressed!

Just saw this and went to read about it, the modular striker/trigger assembly is very intriguing. This gun looks like it has some great potential. My first question is MSRP is just under $600, do Rugers generally run about MSRP or less?

Seems like a great gun if the specs and ergos are to your liking.

Bud's has them for $469...so I would imagine the LGS price in most parts would be ~$530, give or take.

The only one that I had was a P97 .45 and I liked it. Ruger's seem to be known as accurate guns.
