IMO, i handled one of the RIA 1911 45's several months ago at my gun dealers, it's not a bad pistol, it's not a Colt, SA, or a Ed Wilson, but if a person was looking for a budget 1911 45acp they wouldbe a good place to start. the one i looked at and held seemed to have good fit and finish, decent grips, decent sights and felt good in the hand. i would buy one and take a chance on it, and i came real close to buying that one, but bought another rifle instead. so for me, yes go for the RIA 1911!
