I am reloading 9mm luger with red dot 115g bullet lead useing 4.4g of powder, what would it do if I used 4.4g with jacket hollow point. Are there a lot of diffenence

What does your reloading manual say as far as red dot loads with 115 jacketed bullets?

I am just starting to reload myself so take this with a grain of powder(pun intended)

What powder? What gun?

I would personal,y do 20-30 and if your gun likes it do some more. We need more details to really help.

The book says 4.2 to 4.5g for lead, I am reloading my Glock & Hi Point rifle

You're not using lead rounds in a factory glock barrel, right?

4.3-4.5 grains

Yes. They use a different kind of rifling. Lead rounds can make them kaboom.
