Will a subsonic 9mm feel like a "normal" .380 out same gun/barrel (for example sake)? Also is there still good penetration with these?

I would just try normal loads at first. If its only for defense I would load it with that, but at the range shoot sub and normal loads. Most women can handle a 9mm pretty well.
