Default Raven arms mp-25

Has it been taken care of? If your sure it works ok( or he is) it's worth some fun. I had the Raven Arms 22 as a pocket gun in the 80's and 90's. I have never shot a 25ACP of any kind, but for an inexpensive gun mine worked and never jammed in over 750 rounds through it in 15+ years. But then again some folks have reported very stiff triggers and FTFs and FTEs, YMMV....

Unload it. Clean it a bit. Run some cleaner through the barrel. Run dry patches after that. Since you may not be sure of the Ammo, go buy a box of 25's ( def. North of $20), go shoot it at a range, or if in a "Less restricted state with shooting on open lands, take it out and set some targets up at 5 yards. If it hits the target you should be happy. If not, no great loss.

Edit: Ammoseek has 25ACP for $15.99

I told him to pull it apart and clean it a bit.. He wants to use it as a HD pistol outside 60-70yds I don't think it will work... He refuses to get a new better option or use mine

If he wants a small caliber with range, a 22Mag. Would be a better choice with plenty of Pistol & Rifle options

Better off with a 22 with hot ammo or a 22Mag...unless he can get something stronger. I'd have no issue with my wife picking up her 22 Target Pistol with Hot loaded ammo past 25 yards....
We did it this past week, with reactive targets, from 15-30 yards. Very nice groups all under 2" and many at 1" or less...

If he has that amount of distance, I would suggest a rifle.

Something like an AR. It's easier on the aging eyes to aim with.
