Another Sig fan here .If you can find a LEO trade in on a 226 you will have found a great deal and an awesome range pistol.

I fully agree with the above quote. I own two Sig SP2022's and love them. I bought one in 9mm, shot it a bunch, sold off all of my Glocks and went back and bought another 2022 in .40. They are great guns at a great price.

Just picked up a sweet shooter for this exact purpose. BAckup 9mm and range gun. Went with the EAA Witness full size polymer model for $330 shipped!

Just got notified that my Sig 239 9mm came in. Gonna shoot with it a bit but I believe my next handgun purchase will be a SP2022 after all the positive feedback here.

I had a Sig 226 years ago I bought from a guy who needed money after a DUI. It had the lasermax in the guiderod. It was a great gun, I bought it specifically for range use as back then it was far cheaper to shoot 9mm than .45 It wasn't one of my favorites, but I enjoyed shooting it.
A good plan executed today is better than a perfect plan executed at some indefinite point in the future.
