Well ill throw the cz75 into the mix as well. Went looking yesterday and cant find ANY of the guns im interested in. No M&P's no sr9 no sig no cz75....depressing. I wont make a purchase unless i can find one to handle first.
XD competition model is very good range toy. I like the 5 1/2 barrel and 9mm ammo is affordable even in these difficult times. I have no problems shooting a 8" steel at 50 yards with an XD competition model. If it fits your hand it is a good gun.
I want either less corruption or more opportunity to participate in it.

Anyone shopping for a good all around 9 mm should at least take the CZ for a test drive. I picked it over much higher priced competitors.
Bonus: There won't be 20 others just like it every time you hit the range.
If you look around, there are lots of older Sig 226 police trade-ins. I seen 3 in one case a couple weeks ago for $419 each. They were however .40s&w. A Sig 226 is superior to a lot of the other handguns mentioned. I might be a bit biased though.
