Hope you find some more info on the original, OP. I'd heard of it, and seen one at a gun show, but never really looked close at it. I'm kinda regretting that decision...
Join the club. I'm buying one the second they come out. I'm pretty sure JW and axxe will end up with one too. I think they're falling in love with it already.

The originals were made from 1918, to 1927, with a few being made in the 30s from existing parts. I'd like one of those too.

Yes I probably will. I love it.

Thanks for the date correction. I just realized a few minutes ago that I was mistaken.

I watched that video the other day. Anyone else notice the bearded wonder has a flinch and terrible follow through? Yet the other guy, the one who looks a little prissy has good form, control, and great follow through?

Sometimes you just can't tell by looking at someone...

I want one!!!! Have looked at this style pistol and always thought they were sexy, something tells me demand will far outpace production for awhile.

I really liked the new one until I saw the grip safety.

Well to each his own.

Personally I don't mind the grip safety. The gun is considered single action, and it doesn't have a thumb safety. I wouldn't want one anyway but I imagine the grip safety gives a lot of people peace of mind since its SA without a thumb safety.

That I didn't notice. Seems odd to make a SA without a manual safety, at least to me. Not sure if I'd rather have a manual safety or the grip safety. I'm certainly not a fan of both and I thought it had both.

That's something to consider. I'd certainly be interested to shoot it.

I'm curious about this statement...

You're profile pic is a 1911. Which has both. It seems a little paradoxical. It'd be like me having a profile pic of a GLOCK.
