Pretty good day at the gun shop

Hey I just picked it up at the gun shop. Was too good of a deal to pass up on when they only wanted $130 for it. It was a bit dirty when I got it but this is it all cleaned up. S&W 622. I tried to look up some personal reviews from people online but I couldn't find much aside from here and there stuff that were from people just testing the gun and did not own one. So any opinions or advice about the gun would be great.

I don't know if just adding that photo worked or not but hopefully it did.

That was a good deal!... Looks like a nice pistol!
Unfortunately I've never owned/shot one so I couldn't give u much advise

"GREAT" pistol, one of my favorites. Super light weight makes it a great trainer for young folks and lazy old farts like me.

I bought mine new maybe 30 years ago. After thousands of rds I can think of only two problems with it.

The screw that holds the rear sight to the slide worked loose, small drop of blue loctite solved that one.

After a few years and several k of rds, it got to where it didn't want to fire. I field stripped it, took the grips off the frame and sprayed the living crap out of the inside of the grip frame, up at the top, with carb. cleaner. There are a lot of little parts & springs that live up there and they like to be kept clean. Ran like a champ after that, I don't let it ever get too dirty, learned my lesson on these 622s.

Mine is VERY accurate and runs 100% with most any kind of ammo if I keep the frame clean.

Only problem I see with yours is its now a stolen pistol  You didn't buy it for $130.00 - You stole it!!!!!!!:D Around here a nice piece like yours would be in the $250 - $300.00 range.

I'll bet you will really like it. Ken

I used to have the 4" stainless version. (see below - not my pistol or photo)

I think I paid more than you did and that was 20 years ago!

Good buy. Enjoy it!

I remember enjoying mine for a time but I traded it off after acquiring an interest in US military arms.

Going to the range to try it out today. I'll try and take some pics to post of how it does.

Just got back from the range with it. It shot great! Much better than I expected it to. The pic I have is from my first mag when I was still getting the hang of it. I got a little too excited to take pics after that lol. But in the pic it is about a 3 and a half inch circle and the shots were taken at about 25 yards. I am very happy with the purchase.
