I wise man once said " Never get in to a gunfight with a gun that doesn't begin with a 4"

I figured he was much smarter than I so I go with that. 45acp 185gr +P

I like the big, heavy, slow moving .45 ACP myself. Same reason I drive a larger truck, I want size on my side when the SHTF.

Default Handgun ammo

Yes 10mm is heavy a hitting round especially the full power stuff. Overpenetration is a major concern, know your surroundings and what you are aiming at. Some say you should use 10mm for hunting only but it works as a sd round for me. I like my xd 45 also.

357 SIG or 40 S&W. Both are accurate out of my Glock and both are powerful.

An expensive round, with limited availability? I don't know, the weapon is sexy, but still....

in fact,my next purchase if i can find the right model i like...wich is not so easy to pin-point because i'm use to glocks lolol.
Home defense, you wanna grab a long-gun, not a pistol.

CCW in two states. Most of the time I don't carry. 61 and never in a civilian firefight. Two 1911's and they're both too big to pack around. The XD in 45 ACP is too big. Even the 32 ACP NAA Guardian is a PIA.

I have a Husky folding box cutter. Seems to have been there when ever I've needed it.

Threads like these too often become pissing contests with a lot of photos.
