I've got four and each has a very specific purpose. I've got my eye on maybe 3 more with specific purposes.

There's been a huge uptick in boating accidents. They always seem to occur when people ask this question.

Some people cannot handle a boat in calm waters.

Once you get started one is never enough, you find that you need one for each purpose. If all I had was a 44 Mag then all the small game I shot at would all go puff, nothing but feathers or fur. So the spread of calibers is 22 long rifle to 44 mag. The ones in between are great for CCW. Total=6 but would like a Kahr MK 40 for CCW, trying to figure how to get the wife to see how necessary that would be.

Only 2, unfortunately, Taurus PT1911 .45 and a Ruger Vaquero .45 LC in stainless, thinking about swapping them even for a Bushmaster AR-15 and 600 rounds of Wolf ammo, is that a good idea?

Anything to get rid of a Taurus 1911. But the Ruger has a fun purpose, if not a practical one. It seems that you are a bit lean on solid self defense handguns. I don't think I'd ever leave myself with NO handgun just to have an AR-15.

Belay what I said about your Taurus. Keep it (but someday trade up to a slightly better 1911). Perhaps you could consider selling the Ruger, saving up a little more, and BUILDING your own AR. But don't leave yourself w/o a sidearm.

Too many to count. If I took them on a boat trip, they would sink the boat. Thats why I stay home......................................

The thing about the boating accident is that we could have stayed in shallow water and we would be happy today. But, noooo, someone had to suggest we go see the Marianas Trench...all I saw was water.
