Default Parkerized vs. Blued
I'm looking at a Kel-Tec PF-9, as most of you know they come in 3 finishes. Which finish would you recommend for a back-up pocket carry?

I remember i had a Kel-tec p-11; she was my very first gun. I didnt get to choose the finish but mine was blued.

Bluing and parkerizing (Phosphate) are not very good at protecting the metal from rust and corrosion. They are intended to etch the surface of the metal so oil will adhere. Oil will not stick to polished steel so it rusts fairly easily. For pocket carry, stainless steel is better with hard chrome and satin (electroless) nickle coming in 2nd and 3rd

I love a nice blueing, parkarized not so much...my 1911 was originally parkarized but the gunsmith i used stripped it all off and blued it..much nicer
