From experience it seems every pistol with an external hammer I can shoot well one handed.

It occurs to me that i always shoot one-handed with my BP revolvers and frequently with my Ruger revolver. I'm not sure why, perhaps because they have longer barrels than my semi-autos? The first time i shoot a new-to-me pistol, it is left hand only; i could live without my left hand without much trouble, not that i want to try.

I guess it has something to do with the curvature of the grip on old six shooters. I can drive homemade tacks with my Pietta 1858.

Never shot one-handedly nor could I afford
to for fear of not hitting my target if I had
my life to depend on. Best advise: Two Hands.

So evidently a 1911 cocks easily one handed when pressed against your boot heel.

Ruger Standard .22 pistol. It's just so easy to shoot!
