"Horror stories"? I had a really weird problem with a 45acp Kahr, but customer service did the company proud and I was very satisfied.
My 9mm Kahrs, on the other hand, have never given me any problems. I, too, had a failure within my first box, but never again. I am always surprised that the recoil is so much lighter than the other guns of the same size. I've owned 5 Kahrs, own a P380 and CM9 right now, and would love a P9 someday soon.
