M from new york n just got my gun permit it was hell but I got it! So what's should my first gun be , I was thinking a G27

Man, you went through all that, and now your

first gun is going to be a Glock? You are making my

head hurt.

Is it an economic decision, or does the design hold some appeal

for you?

It's all personal choice, but a CZ75, Beretta 92, or any 1911A1

would be more attractive to me, as a first choice.

Have you tried anything out yet?

Need more info...carry gun, range gun, home defense gun...is that a carry permit or just a general permit?

You got your permit without already having a firearm? How much firearms experience do you have?

fyi, new york is a concealed carry permit state. except the counties that restrict it such as my county and those in and around NYC

I am also a new gunner. I would suggest doing alot of research so you don't make any rash decisions. I just picked up my first, an xdm 9 and can say the time I spent looking into it was valuable. Being a novice I chose the 9 so i can build from that and move to a larger caliber with ease. I also enjoy how i spend less on ammo. That's what I picked and im very happy with it. Go test drive some you like and don't always listen to fanboys who praise their guns because in the end it's your cash. Get what YOU like.

If you want a Glock, get one. If you want an XD or XDm, get one.

I have a couple of Glocks, an XD and a couple 1911's. It is your decision, I don't have any pistols I dislike.
