Default New gun

Just purchased a new 38 cal. Smith & Wesson revolver model # 638 with laser sight for home defense. Does anyone have any experience with this weapon? What do you think?

Practice, get as much range time as possible, with and without the laser. It'll take a while to get used to. Don't wait for a stress situation to find out. I have a Bodyguard .38, not exactly what you've got but close. It took some time to find the right grip and trigger pull, to start putting together decent groups.

Agreed... find some cheap FMJ ammo and put in as much time as you can refining your grip and trigger pull. You want the whole thing to be more instinct than action because in a high stress situation you won't have time to line up a tough shot... Especially if you can only fire 5 or 6 times before reloading.
