Excellent choice there Kage, if I do say so myself!
I think you will be very pleased with your shooting results and functional reliability and handling of this particular firearm.

I'm absolutely in love with this gun. I went to the range and did great, I thought, for my second time shooting a handgun EVER, let alone this one for the first time. Everything about this gun is perfect, and I'm very glad I went with the .45ACP. My buddy has all the reloading equipment we need so we can reload ammo ourselves. It feels like there is no recoil at all. I could shoot several rounds repeatedly without any problems. I'm very happy with my purchase, and feel very safe with her by my bed. Thanks to all who gave input on caliber, brand ect. when I asked. I planned to buy an XDM .40, but this one felt better, and more natural. Not to mention in .45. Here are my range pics. It was 15 yards, and remember, I'm only a beginner lol so don't be too critical. I shot it with 20 rounds. I only have one complaint...50 rounds goes way too fast lol.

Congrats on your purchase,
It's hard not to like this pistol, I've had mine for more than three years and it is my CCW 90% of the time. The more you shoot it the better you will get with the pistol so shoot it often. It will eat any cheap ammo you can find but I always finish with a mag of the defense rounds I expect to use. Just to make certian it feeds well and they tend to be a bit hotter load.
Enjoy and not bad shooting at all for your first time out.
