I just bought a New Colt 1070 XSE GI 45 ACP SS... Does anyone have this model? I have been hearing about faulty tooling... I was looking at Kimber but i heard they jam and have problems sometimes with no speedy help from the customer service dpt. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Don't believe everything you read on the net as many Kimbers run just fine - mine do. As far as the Colt, it's hard to go wrong when you start the 1911 adventure with the original. I picked up a new Commander a few months back and it's a well made, fine shooting gun...
