Have you actually tried any of your choices at the range?

Rent, beg, borrow. Unless you want to jump start the

national economy yourself with untried choices...

Maybe the BATFE has some stuff left over from "Fast-N-Furious" they'd like to give away.
Anyway, good luck with your search, there are lotsa good guns out there, so find something you feel comfortable with and enjoy it.

You might consider this route. Great shooter. I have the full size but I also have the 9c which is the same as the 40c. I cc the 9c and would trust my life to it.

In 9 mm or .40 I'd suggest the Kahr CW line. Exactly 4" tall and under 1" wide. Very concealable and shootable. Personally I'd stay away from .40 in any sub compact. Way more snap for negligible added knock down.

Were I in the market today I'd put my money on the new XDS .45 ACP.

Good Luck

Tack

I would look into the smith and Wesson mp shield in the .40. It's a perfect size. Compact but powerful. Very comfortable and a great price

What's your method of CC?

I think that should have somewhat of a bearing on your decision.

My nephew carries a Kahr PM9 with a IWB holster and he also owns a Glock 19 and he carries that in a shoulder holster. So he's got a few options in regard to the method of carry.

As for me, my CCW is a Beretta 84fs (.380 ACP). In the 20+ years I've owned it, never had a FTF or FTE and IMO, it's small enough to carry comfortably and It feels way better in my hand than a sub compact does, and grip is vital.
