Dont forget that the american military has always had the unwritten requisite that the gun when out of ammo be able to be used as an effective club. So more than likely it will be all metal if they ever change

That is news to me. I rather use a k-bar or this, my eickhorn Bundeswehr messer (German Army Knife).

I owned a colt 1911 mark IV model 80 once. It was my third favorite gun ever. Won a lot of comps with it. A kick ass nail driver. A good 1911 is almost impossible to find here. The above two are my favorites.

USP .40 and a HK .40? I tell ya, can't find a finer weapon in .40, IMHO. I checked them all out, or so I thought back in 97 when I had a home invasion and my then wife had an epiphany that a gun might not be a bad thing in the house. I looked at a Colt M1911A1 first. The slide was rough to work, got stuck half way out of battery and the GS clerk used a hammer to smack it back in! That turned me off 1911's. (little did I know!!!!!). I looked at and fired a s**tload of guns, 9mm, .38, .357, .45, 10mm even a Desert Eagle .50. I bought the USP. My first pistol. Then I discovered better 1911 about 10 years later. Got divorced, life changed, I was alone again, I could start my hobby. Along comes that Springer and the rest is history!!

The second gun is a Sig P226r. I call her Rosy. My USP is Big Bertha. I did not get the USP 45 because I hunt boar. The Russian boar has thick armor in the front. A 45 hits like a pancake and might not penetrate the armor if I get charged. It is also subsonic. The forty has better penetration, has more joules, and shaped to better breach the armor.

I'm sorry! I feel dumb, now. I didn't even look closely (obviously!). I assumed.

And we all know what happened when yayamamasami assumes?
