IIRC, there was one brand that made a gun that actually exploded and the guy shooting it ended up with shrapnel in his eye. I don't remember the exact brand, but I think it was one the one ones I listed.

Browning Buckmark. Had one and sold it. Hated that damn gun. Didn't matter what I shot through it or what I oiled it with; it wouldn't hold better than a 4" group at 25 yards and jammed once out of every other clip. One of only two guns I've ever gotten rid of.

Out of the guns that I have shot, my least favorite was a Kel-Tec .380 jamming pile of dung, then a Taurus 709 slim when they first came out, couldn't keep the mag in the dang thing for more than 3 rounds, the fix was to bent the edge of the mag out. The problem was the mag was too flimsy to stay there for more than 3 rounds. The dealer gave me full credit on a new pistol.

I have a Keltec .380 and it jams every time if I put Herter ammo in it. It's not a fun gun to shoot either.

Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .380 comes to mind. I actually handled one in my CCW class and was really impressed with it . Then I shot one JUNK . The frame is SO small and SO thin I couldn't get a good purchase of the weapon. Felt like I was trying to grip a toothbrush and made the fairly weak .380 feel almost uncontrolable cause the gun would slip out of my grip making muzzle flip pretty severe and follow up shots needed to be re sighted.

Trigger pull felt like it would never end. I kept thinking I gotta be close ....nope more pull? ok nope still nothing.... FINALLY it shot.

Takedown? a freaking nightmare it was like trying to dis assemble and re assemble a puzzle in the dark.

I hated that gun. By the end of the day I was wishing I had my blacksmith hammer with me to crush that POS to pieces. Fortunately I didn't own it so I settled for giving it back to the owner and thanked my lucky stars I'd never bought one. Cause after my CCW class I liked it so much I was concidering buying one.

I shot a hi point C9 that day as well. MUCH better gun. was more accurate , better purchase , easier take down. Loved the hi point . In fact it of some caliber maybe the OD .40 will be my next purchase.
