Thanks sniper, I do love my Defender.

There will be a lot of Woodford Reserve flowing tomorrow. It's the "official Bourbon" of the derby and the choice for those Mint Juleps.

Did you notice my personally labeled Woodford?

Cane, the Defender he was asking about was a 9mm. For me, the detractions of a 1911 (weight, size, etc.) are more than balanced by the .45acp round. But I don't exactly understand the desire for 9mm out of a 1911 for defensive purposes.

.45acp for my 1911's and the Defender is a GREAT platform.

Kinda needs to be double stacked huh?

I would like to shoot a Colt mouse in 9 mike mike.

I've got so single stack "muscle trained" that when I shoot my Browning HP I find myself saying is this damn thing empty yet??

To be a resident you have to get past the junior member level.

To the OP the Colt is hard to pass on if in the condition express it will out live you. The CZ is a quality pistol, I've never owned one but most that do only have good to say about them.

The Glock is a striker fired polly framed pistol so a bit different than the Colt or the CZ. If you are looking at polly frame and striker fired there are some good choices that IMHO surpass a Glock. My preference would be the S&W M&P. Good luck, shoot as many as you can before you buy and let us know what you decide on.
