Above is a link to a ballistics chart for handguns.
Keep in mind we are talking self defense and it is not the same thing as a police officer out in the field. The 357 is hotter than the 9mm in the 124/125 grain loading so the 357 Sig was born. The FBI recognized a need for a heavier round in the field and that is how the 10mm and th 40 S&W were born. The 22 mag in a pistol is close to the 22lr in a rifle and that is well known to be deadly. The problem with the 25 acp is there are few good pistols out there and a bunch of junk pistols. It is more powerful and more reliable than the 22 lr. All 3 rounds are underrated along with the 380. The 38 Supers were shipped to Mexico because they could not have 45's since it was a military round.

i like how many people underestimate and underrate 12 ga birdshot as a viable SD/HD round. just ain't so. it does work and i seriously doubt anyone would want to be on the recieving end of it at 10-15 feet! at 30 feet it will still blow a decent sized hole in 1/2" plywood. i also doubt skin, muscle and bone are tougher than plywood.

30 rounds of .22mag in qa slim package. Although you would have to keep in mind the troubles of rimfire roounds loading in a semi, but nevertheless it seems to be a neat little piece (if it is proven to be reliable).

For the record: I have yet to personaly handle one of these for myself.
Good luck.... Very rare to find now and if you do the price is outrageous .. 430$ from keltec but at my local store 1200$ cause of the possibility of the large capacity magazines being discontinued. But sweet pistol and super light weight with the option of many ammo types. The store owner told me he was going to raise the price 100$ every two weeks due to availability. I agree with you though, love the idea of having 30 rounds

Sweet pistol! Light and for polymers seems to be decently made. However if you can find one be assured the price will be ridiculous. Looking on keltec site for 430$ , a gun shop by me has one for 1200$ . Cause of the large capacity magazine that could be soon outlawed. He said he was going to raise the price 100$ every two weeks it sat there.

I am sorry but a good 125 gr 357 load will travel over 1600 FPS. I have shot the Fiocchi ammo through a chronograph owned by the Sheriffs Dept with a 6.5" blackhawk. Fiocchi was clocked at 1740 FPS. No 9mm load gets over 1500 fps. Double Tap makes a 147 gr 9mm load that makes 427 foot pounds at the muzzle from a 4" barrel. A fiocchi 125 gr JSP makes 755 foot pounds of energy. We aren't even making an apples to apples comparison. I am comparing a 9mm +P load the hottest 9mm load in production to a $18 box of fiocchi target loads. Make an apples to apples comparison and the 357 tromps all over the 9mm.

The reason the Sheriffs dept got me to come to their range is they needed to test the Fiocchi ammo before purchasing. I had the ammo and didn't mind some free range time at a real range.
