Hey Guys, I got a MKII 512 Target with the 5 1/2 bull bbl and my buddy has the 22/45 with the same bbl only his is blued. He has a small 2x scope mounted, mine just open sights. We have put 1000's of rds through both guns with excellent results. Both pistols are VERY reliable! We have shot over 500 rds in both guns, on the same day, numberous times. His feels better to me and my feels better to him! His is a little more accurate with the scope. Go to a good gun shop where you can handle a few different models and get the one that feels the best to you. No way you can go wrong with any of the Ruger 22's....I had a Walther P22 on my short list but now I'm thinking SR22!

i too have the Mark III 22/45 and i do like the grip angle better than the regular Mark III. i think it's because it simulates the 1911, which just has always felt so right in my hand. i like the fact that they come drilled and tapped for a scope base and that it's included in the box so that you can add a scope to it very easily.
