misfire

So I took my .45 out today and I had a few rounds misfire what do I do with the misfired rounds

They are safe to throw in the regular trash. Or do with them what you do with your fired cases. If you reload you can pull the bullets and reload. I assume you tried a second strike?

What brand of ammo??

If they are factory, get the lot # and contact the manufacturer (you may get a free box for your trouble).

If they are reloads, the primers may have been contaminated.

If the reloads are from someone else (something I don't advise), chalk it up as lesson learned.

If you were shooting at a range, most ranges have a dud box for faulty ammo. That would be the safest way to dispose of the rounds. Do not throw them in the trash. I have had misfires in the past only to have them fire on subsequent attempts.

Try them again. If they still do not fire, give them to a reloading buddy. The bullet can easily be pulled, powder dumped (on the lawn. Yes it is good for the grass), primer punched out and loaded again
