Yeah.... but the question is: did you loose faith in these guns?.. would you shoot 'em again?

I had a small .22 lr auto (Sterling 302).... It would not eject and tried to slam a second on the first. I lost faith in it and put it away a number of years ago.

Recently took it completely apart.... yes, pins, springs and all ... After cleaning below the external extractor it is functioning like new.

So the answer to "Did I loose faith in it?" Obviously a clearcut "Yes" and "No" ...

I once broke the transfer bar in a Charter Undercover .38 snub. It took them 6 months to send me the part. By then, I'd forgotten that I owned it. After I testfired it, I realized that since I'd gotten along just fine without it, there were better things to have my money tied up in,, so that .38 was gone the next week.

Same thing happened twice? Bad luck or poor reassembly. I've been shooting and teaching for 30 years and I've never seen/heard of that, especially repeatedly that wasn't operator caused.......just sayin'.

Never took them apart. The xd was brand new with like 100 rounds through it. The gi champion had about 150 rounds through it. The recoil springs failed with factory ammunition. Lightning does actually strike twice in same place sometimes. Just glad this was on the range and not in a sd situation. No reason to lie here. I still might get a xdm 45 one day.

That really shook my confidence with Springfield armory handguns but like I said I am willing to give the xdm a shot. I had a SA 1911 A1 that was stone cold reliable through thousands of rounds, damn why did I sell that gun. 1 out of 3 guns being reliable is not good tho.
