Mailing a Hangun
i recently had a relative pass who left me a handgun, my grandmother wants to send it to me in the mail. is this legal? im not sure what kind of gun it is or even whether or not it is a revolver. any advice or guidance is appreciated.

NO! She can send it UPS or Fedex to a receiving FFL on your end-
BUT many of the mentioned officies will require OVERNIGHTING- Its not illeagal but its their policy-
If there iss a FFL near her best for them to mail it to your FFL-
Dont get me started on BATF laws & shipping companys policy
UNLESS your in a state that allows interstate shipping (like Texas) but the shipping methods hold true on MODERN handguns-

Why would you even mention that?
So, you say you know felons?
Have your grandmother send it fedex express 2 day to Quantico Tactical in Junction City.
You will have to pay a transfer fee to get it from QT.

I could make a list of a bunch of guns i have, or "have", or wish I had. Why would one feel compelled to provide that infornation freely? Do you feel the need to show off? Is it some immature game of oneupsmanship?
Why do you feel it necessary to list your guns?

ive looked up the ffls in my area and some are peoples homes, pawn shops, gunsmiths etc. who should i go to?

i'm with mulie, gun shop, gunsmith or even a pawnshop. not to say that a person running a home FFL business is any less trustworthy, but in this instance, better to deal with a person in a real business.
