Kahrs are great guns , I have a Diamondback DB9 thats pretty tiny and hides about any where . The XDS45 and XDS9 are the same size you just pick the caliber and round count you want , I went XDS45 carries like its not even there

Fyi.
I had 2 kahr CW9's both shot great and were awesome accurate....with ball ammo. Both choked with hollow points. They would not feed reliably.

I haven't had any problems with mine.

My PM 9 has not had a malfunction in the entire 5 years I've had it. It's been my EDC all that time as well so it's no safe queen.

Tack

Several very good recommendations already made, I would also check out
Kel-Tec they have some very affordable small 9mm great for carry.

The only thing I prefer that would make this the perfect CCW / self defense gun is if it would have been a striker fired gun

I'm in your situation as well sir. I'm 6'0 185 pounds and I can't conceal a big gun for anything. Hence why I open carry. I have had the shield 40 but I sold it and bought an xds 45. I love my xds beyond belief. I've owner a couple kahr's but in my book they can't compete. I'd look at the xds 9mm

Well agreed would have made a big difference huh! But I keep seeing the Galloway precision trigger kit everywhere and it seems to make a huge difference
