Highpoint 9mm. My wife's Highpoint has a few thousand rounds through it and has never malfunctioned. It was $118, out the door with 4 boxes of ammo.

May be other options for you, what do you want to use it for? If it is a defensive weapon, the word "cheap" shouldn't even enter the equation. You can go good value (if you have a P230 as your name implies, you already know what quality is). The 230 would suffice for a few months until you saved enough to get a used SIG (or other reputable manufaturer) 9mm in one of their frames. Just don't want to see you throw your money away on junk. If it is to keep somewhere that it may be stolen (eg a permanent car gun) so you don't want $ tied up in it, there are other options. Used revolvers (in .38/.357/.44) are a great value as long as you know what to look for.
Goood luck, let us know what you find. |
I found that it pays to save a bit longer and get a quality piece. You will more than likely be disappointed with a "Cheap" gun. What then...Buy a moderately cheap gun? What if that sucks? I learned to just save up and buy the best gun for the job. Get one that has a proven track record.

Hi Point 9mm i say affordable to cheap. Made in USA life

Check out local area gun shows. Many vendors sell new firearms at reasonable prices. Look into eastern european surplus. A nice Bulgarian Makarov can still be found for around $200. The ammo is becoming more available. Nice all steel gun.
