My wife likes the feel of the Buckmark.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their help! Went to bass pro shop today to look into getting a 22/45 and found a Browning buckmark (camper) for the same price. Having shopped around a bit I was willing to forgo the trouble of an online order and drop 300 on what I wanted. Bottom line: got a new buckmark to take to the range on the seventh. Thanks again for all the help!

... bought a 10/22 rifle while I was there too... couldn't help it!

mr. smith, i noticed that you have both an ar-15 and m1 on your wish list. may i suggest that a nice ruger mini-14 may fulfill both of your desires with a single rifle? it fires the same size round as an ar-15, with somewhat of a similar design as an m-1. an unmodified mini-14 with a 20 round magazine inserted looks a lot like an m1. i must confess that i am a mini-14 fan. jeff.

You can't go wrong with the Ruger MKIII ! The one with the 6 inch target barrel would be an excellent gun for many rounds of fun plinking or target shooting. If you want to go a step further, the Browning Buckmark.
