Looking for advice for a decent sidearm
Looking for help and suggestions on a decent sidearm. It will be used mainly for home defense or close quarter situations. Looking more along the .45 genre but open to other suggestions. I am a C&R FFL holder so if theres one that qualifies under that it will be more convenient and price range is anywhere up to 650.00. Thanks in advance.

My recommendation in the price range is Springfield XD or Glock 21.
I am confident others will come along and point out more choices.
Go to some local gunshops and talk to the folks there about your budget and
and interests.
Be sure to consider used, nothing wrong with a good used pistol. I have had good luck buying second hand firearms.

Do you mean RIA?
Op- I too would recommend a Rock Island 1911, I picked mine up for 400 plus tax and fees.

I have a357 revolver and it works good for me. I would just suggest shooting it before you buy it. I've shot a few hand guns that had alot of slop in the trigger and some that just didn't seem to like me.
