i use clp. works well for me and doubles as a cleaning agent. never had any issues with it over the last 20 years. also use hoppes #7 as a bore cleaner. i dont use a lot of it so the cost isnt a real issue. a little goes a very long way.

For revolvers, I've found that Rem Oil works nicely. However, I have yet to find that "right one" for autos. Maybe I'll give Mobil-1 a shot, can't hurt, especially since I have a case of it in the garage.

I haven't seen Fluidfilm around here anywhere. Home Depot has Amsoil and another that someone mentioned. Most of them however I never knew about ? Iv'e been out of the game too long. The two gunshops around here only have Rem-Oil, and Bright Bore Cleaner,
Break-Free and Hoppes, and once in awhile Birchwood and Casey's sheath Oil. Maybe I'll try the Mobil 1 ? One Person listed Marvels Mystery Oil, I know that stuff in the red can it works wonders on a pingy, knocky, engine so I guess it would make a semi-auto run smooth ! Thanks guys and gals !

Normal gun oil for most things...it came with the cleaning kits. PJ1 chain lube for the semi-auto slides. Works better on slides than motorcycle chains.

For most applications I use Hornady One Shot or Eezox. My military surplus arms will also get some high temp/pressure bearing grease.

Default am i alone here?

I just found a CLP called "Gunzilla" which i've been using for about two months now and use it with my .40cal boresnake, together, they do a completely thorough job.

Add another Mobil 1 user here. I imagine Ammsoil synthetic would be awesome as well. It's what I use in the Harleys in my fleet. I'm going to try it as soon as the Mobil 1 runs out. (if ever)
