Default List of hammer fired full size 45's

I'm gearing up to add a new family member, as my gf told me recently, that she was going to give me about $600 towards a new pistol.I've been thinking about the 45 for more than a year and went back and forth between compact and full size. The most important thing for me is something in a hammer fired sa/da type pistol and maybe some suggestions as I like to carry with one in the chamber.

Take a look at the Beretta PX4 Storm. It is a DA/SA hammer fired gun and is a step away from the traditional 1911 style. Of course if it is the 1911 syle you are looking for my eye leans to the Ruger...

Older Smith and Wesson DA with SA ability. S&W Model 457 or Model 4516-1 (won't find many of these at the BBQ)

A modern SA 1911 type in .45ACP has a Great Hammer and looks nice cocked and locked in a hip holster.
