Ah, my brain is working again. I knew you rolled your own but ass-u-me'd that you were able to carry em. The only factory ammo I ever see on the shelves in 10mm is either the weak American Eagle or the ridiculously priced Buffalo Bore. Bunch of crap if you ask me. 10mm's ROCK!!

A 180 gr GDHP @ 1250-1300 would be the $hit!
|
And imho, a 135 grain GD at 1450-1500 would be even better!

The age old argument of light-fast vs slow-heavy. I like fast-heavy. The sectional density of the 180. The velocity of a Magnum. The expansion and weight retention of a Gold Dot. The best of ALL worlds. The down side is recoil. The ported barrel and larger than average paws tame that.

Yep, this one will never be settled. My objection to the 180 is the excessive (IMHO) penetration.

If the same bullet used in the .40 is used, penetration should not be a huge issue. Expansion will be phenominal though. 300 more fps? The only thing "excessive" will be the permanent cavity.

i don't consider a permanent cavity in a BG excessive!

Ah, I see says the blind man. Of the multiple other forums I participate on, this is the first where they used a set color to show sarcasm. of course, the others have a wider selection of "smileys" to help show sarcasm.
