Are you perhaps referring to the H&K P7? (Chris's Unofficial H&K P7 Website). Sometimes also called the lemon squeezer. It was only available in 9mm and .40S&W.

S&W Models 40 & 42. Gun World Magazine, Aug 2010, states that S&W has reintroduced them lately.
