And I used to work with the guy who retired from the largest police dept. range in the country in another unifromed capacity and he said the same: what a joke. "Aim big, miss small." And the main reason most cops go thru "qualification" is to inspect the guns -- they are SO poorly maintained as to be dangerous without it. Sorry.
Point is proper training and practice! Cops are SO not a part of that equation. Actually, I quit a club because there were guys on the job who thought cross-firing and ricochets indoors were funny. Funny!
