Default Kahr cm9

Just picked up a kahr cm9 for $425. I was looking for a pocket gun for summer. Last year I carried a glock 26 and it was pulling my shorts down. I want to hear the pros and cons. I know what you read on the Internet has to be true, but I want to hear it from my fellow gun nuts!!!

The PM 9, which is the original "more expensive version" of the CM 9, has been by EDC gun for 5 years now and it has been flawless.

Honestly, had the CM been available 5 years ago I'd have bought it and saved 2 Bills.

Excellent Choice.

Did yours only come with one mag? I can't find any extra mags in town and I keep looking online all out of stock

The PM comes with 2 mags. 1 flush 6 round and 1 extended 7 round. The other differences are that the PM has:

Polygonal Rifling
Much more metal work on the slide... IE "rounded and smoothed edges"
Forged Slide Stop
All Steel "'dovetailed sights"
Laser Engraving

All very nice touches but for a 7 to 10 yard carry gun... Mostly unnecessary.

The trully important part of the gun... The excellent Kahr trigger... Is retained in the CM line so your getting A LOT of bang for your buck at $425.00

Yep... I can't say there "1911 Good" but we would not want a crisp SA Only with no manual safety bouncing around in a pocket now would we.

For a DA Only pull, it's very tough to beat... Impossible to beat at the CM's price point.

I have been carrying my CM9 in my front pocket in a pocket holster for about a year think. Mine has been a very good gun. I have only put a few hundred rounds through it. But it has been totaly reliable so far.

I might have 300 through my PM over the last 5 years without a hiccup either.

I know that not impressive to the torture test crowd but those of us who carry them know these little 9's are a handful. Not what we would describe as "pleasant" range guns... and not designed to be.

Op...

I suggest you run 150 to 200 FMJ's for "break in"... Then test fire your carry load to ensure reliable function and POA/POI.

Mine likes 147 GR Speer Gold Dots...

Every time I pull the trigger on my PM9, I think of the old Mike Meyer's SNL skit "Coffee Talk". It feels like buttah.

I have carried a cm9 as my go to carry pistol for a few years now with over 1100 rounds thru it with no problems and own several other kahr that have worked just as well. Add something to the grip to help with control. Use good mid weight ammo hold on tight and enjoy.
