Default Judge Public Defender!!

I got a NEW Judge Public Defender SS model
2 " 45colt and .410

this is my second time shooting it.

Number 8 shot shells were kinda fun because it even put holes into the carboard target holders. it covered the target completely.

used Federal ammo and 4 pellets (36 cal)
and @ 7yrds I had 4 " patterns **not bad**

when I used the winchester .410 3 pellets (36 cal)
OMG i had epic wide patterns (12 ") wide. @ 7yrds

the silver tips (winchester) i had nice 3.5" group, for a snubbie and my real first time shooting the judge it was not bad.

the hornady Red ftx ammo had 6 rounds that the hammer went down and nada... *GRR* so i emailed hornady since I was a big hornady fan..
Im hoping the ammo is made for the lever rifles and not a pistol.. or i just got a bad box.

I use this as a pocket pistol or its amazing with a belt holster (in the pants).

omg loading the pics with dial up is very long.....

Don't want to rain on your parade, but keep a close eye on it as we've had folks on the forum that have had severe problems with these guns...

I have had problems with Hornady LeveRevolution ammo myself. I think that they use magnum primers and that they require a harder hit from the firing pin to ignite.

I keep hearing that there are problems with PD but I think it maybe from people loading +P rounds into it. The PD version is a non +P
The Winchester Silver tips and Gold dots are hot for me. =P
*price wise*

The PDX1 Black loads I have them on order!! they look amazing.

Wow I have read a few threads and the one problem of the cyilnder not opening i was told about. The cyilnder I was told to not snap the cyilnder into the gun.

Plus with lead or black powder rounds Its got to be cleaned really good or it will jam, the cyilnder release.

That's a pretty small spread for the buckshot. A cluster of shots like that would be powerful.

Good info about how well the different loads perform in penetration tests with the Judge.

The Box O' Truth - Ammo Penetration Testing

Also, I doubt seriously that everyone who has had problems with the Judge were using +p...does the .410 shot shell come in +p? Cylinder opening issues are the least of your worries. Ask Francisco.
