Ipod distraction
 

My wife walks most every night. She would carry an Ipod for entertainment while she walks. Not any more... This is a VERY Dangerous practice as you can't hear what's going on around you.

In the last several months (in Dallas) several women were attacked on jogging trails. They were all wearing something that distracted them from hearing the surroundings. One lady died from her assault injuries. The entertainment isn't worth your life!

+1. The buddy system is ALWAYS a good idea. Two victims are hard to deal with. Two sets of eyes (and ears) are better than one. Sad to say, but our world is a dangerous place and getting more so every day.

Unfortunately, I will probably have to go "walk" with my wife for additional security. I hate walking! But when I do, I also have a .367 or my S&W 40 handy.

Not as bad as the pioneer days, when you could get scalped!!! I think a better way to explain it is "the world is STILL a dangerous place."
