Default IntraTec-22

Just the name sounds degrading I know, but I've got a little cash budgeted out for one fun gun besides my M1A. I just wanted to get some opinons on the Tec-22. I've got plenty of Ruger 10/22 mags so that's not much of a problem, but my question is do they WORK? I can get one for a fair price near where I am and it comes with a 50 round drum mag from Black Dog.
What should I look for before considering buying the thing? Or should would I be saving a headache by passing it by and saving my money and getting something even more ridiculous like a Mark 7 Desert Eagle in 44 mag for $875?

Ive never personally seen a tec22 go thru a full mag without some sort of issue.

Intra tec parts are very hard to find if you need one.I have a tec 22 in my safe and really havent looked at it for years.I would come apart on me at times when using it.

Eh, something tells me I better stay away as prospective as the fun-factor may look. I've got enough guns to work on, I dont really want to pay money for another lol Maybe I can find a good H&R 999 or something instead.
I'm just looking for a fun gun that's under $500 really, the Tec-22 was the first one that poped up.
Do you think it would run any better with CCI mini-mags? I know my Sig Mosquito runs better with them.
