Of course. Attaching a butt stock or foreword grip requires a BATFE NFA stamp. Any conversion to fully automatic is prohibited.

what he said^^^ also in some states magazine capacity, threaded barrels, and suppressors are not allowed or illegal
I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.

That covers fed laws then there to many rounds for some screwed up states and hp ammo for NJ. Not sure you conceder ammo a mod but they would. Last would over 26" long as with a bolt , single or breach action handguns.

The question would be better if it were rephrased.

Try "I want to modify my handgun with this. Is that legal?"

As asked, it is like asking "how many types of fish in the ocean are illegal to catch?"
Amendment II:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

yeah, any of them, as long as you understand if caught, you get to spend a good number of years in very small cell with a bunk mate named Bubba!

I'm not sure what you are looking for, but it sounds fishy. We are done here.
