1) Commander 1911 .45acp (I want protection power FIRST)
2) Defender 1911 .45acp (I want to carry second)
3) Browning Buckmark .22lr (I want to plink cheaply for practice)

Here's where it gets tough, only two more choices. Which way to go? 9mm? 38/357? Teeny mouse gun?

4) Browning HighPower 9mm (THE definition of 9mm)
5) Kahr P380

This is cheating:

6) Kahr PM9 9mm
7) Smith & Wesson 686 4" 7-shot .357/.38
8) Ruger LCR .38spl+p
.45acp, .40 S&W, 9mm, .38 Spl, .380 acp, 22lr
12 gauge, .223/5.56x45mm, 30-30 Winchester

I like having few guns. I'd rather have only a few that I really can handle well, than a bunch of objects in a safe. I'd definitely skip the Kel-tec PF9 (didn't work well, and I hated shooting it), and I'd probably replace my P22 with a pistol better suited for plinking and target shooting.

But, I would probably just go with the following three guns:

1) Glock 19 (MAYBE a 26) for general concealed carry and HD.

2) A browning buckmark .22 pistol.

3) Either a nice long-barreled revolver in either .44 mag or .357mag, or some rifle in either a similar caliber or a basic rifle caliber (.308, .243, .30-06, etc). Possibly a single-shot, just because I've always found them elegant.

4) I suppose a barrel and suppressor for the Buckmark technically count as the 4th "firearm," haha.

5) And then I suppose suppressing the rifle would be the 5th, heh.

1- Glock 19 because I think it is the perfect first handgun and incredibly versatile.

2- M&P .45

3- S&W 686 .357 mag

4- Glock 17

5- M&P full size .40

1. Browning Buckmark .22
2. CZ SP-01 Phantom .40
3. Dan Wesson Valor
4. Smith 686 .357
5. Sig 239 SAS for carry

I have number 1 and 5. I also have a great 1911, but I was starting over I wouldn't know about it.
I hope to get the phantom and 686 one day. My 1,5,and 3 are filled.
