It has about the same density, but 'muscle' is much tougher and will react differently. Add to this the fact that the body has MANY different types of tissue which a bullet may encounter in it's 'travels'
! The gel will give you a good 'comparison' of how the bullet will 'react' to contact with a medium 'similar' in density to tissues found in the body.
The ONLY true test to how a bullet will react/preform when it used against a human target is medical records and autopsies. The problem here is there are so many variables to consider when researching this it is very hard to come up with 'solid facts' reference the performances.
