They are very prone to jamming issues and if they did fire the only thing you were going to do was really piss the person off, that you might hit with it!
Poor (NO Not A) choice for personal protection in my opinion.
I have to disagree about the reliability of the Raven. These used to be $30 ea if bought 3 at a time, and I sold tons of them back in the 80's. Never had a complaint. I still own one (it hasn't been out of the safe in 15 years) that used to be fired weekly and never had a malfunction of any kind.
Not a gun to carry for defense, but fine for plinking.
The Jennings .22's were called the Jam-O-Matics around here. Very similar to the Raven in construction. The ones that worked were fine, but the ones that jammed were junk.
