I hate you CZUSA.

So. For the past several months I've been selling some of my guns and making wiser choices. Mainly just to "thin the herd." For example I somehow ended up with three carbine AR's. How it happened, I dunno. So, I sold two and ordered a NM AR. There. I fixed it.

Done it with all my rifles and pistols. A few shotguns found new homes too. Cleaned out the 'odd' calibers and have a 'better rounded' safe.

I'm done.
I've sold what I was going to.
I've ordered the last two I wanted.
I'm done.

And I'm feeling good about myself.
I'm winning the fight.
The wife even told me she was proud of me.

When I was deciding on what handguns to sell, the first one I decided was a keeper was a CZ75. A *high gloss* CZ75C. One day I'll pass it on to my grand kids. Whichever one stays off my lawn.

Today I'm minding my own business.
I swing by the grocery store to pick up some seasoning for some chicken breasts.
And there is the magazine rack.
I tried not to look.
But, it was too late.
Right there on the front cover of September's Guns magazine...

When did that happen?
When did CZ come out with a SS 75?

I came home and checked the website when the wife wasn't looking.
Shame is a heavy cross to bear.
And sure enough. There it is. A high polish SS 75.

I HATE YOU CZUSA.

Well when do you pick it up from the gun shop?

If your avatar is an accurate rendition of you, then you are fine with what you have. You do not look like a pimp or Mexican/Colombian drug lord. High polish SS or bright nickle do not appeal to me. A nice deep blue is beautiful. Flat black or Phosphate is perfectly acceptable. A firearm is a tool, not a piece of jewelry.

+1
I have to agree

That's a fine looking gun, but I would agree with robo, although it's purdy and shiny, we buy our guns for shooting tools not as "bang-bling" wearing guns. ;):D

But sure is a purdy 9mm!

Yes, a firearm is a tool, but I find them works of art also! Nothing wrong with polished SS.
As a mechanic, all of my wrenches are beautiful too, just can't find stag antler grips for them.
Nothing wrong with a mildly pimped gun, just means that you care about it that much more! :)

Well, I kinda like "Bling-Bang". See what I did there?;) Get two, so you can dual wield.:D

Why is this in the Glock forum.

Ill take that black CZ with the wood grips off your hands, that thing makes me drool.

sweeper22 07-27-2011 05:06 AM

Bling CZs are nice. I only have a blued one and don't have any particular desire for a bright "mirror" stainless version (fingerprint magnet)...but I'd sure like to add the tamer satin nickel or matte stainless.

BTW- this is nothing new. CZ's been making model 75 variants in satin nickel, duo-tone, bright stainless, and matte stainless for some years now. So sell some tupperwear, add another CZ.

Stainless is more durable. I like more durable.
