I can't hit a plate at 18 yards w/92FS
I'm pretty accurate with most guns but I am consistently low with this gun. It has fixed 3 dot sights. I need some advice on how to sight this thing please. I'm almost covering up the target cause I'm aiming so high now. This can't be right!!

First, make sure it's not you. Shoot it off of sandbags (hold the gun normally, support yout hands with the bags). Have others shoot it.
Could be grip, too much finger in the trigger, anticipating recoil----
If it is indeed shooting low, try a heavier bullet. If you are shooting
115's, go to 124's. Still low? Try 147's.
Beyond that, it's time to mess with the sights. Someone must make
taller rear sights?

If this pistol is clean and lightly oiled, put 10 or 20 rounds of premium ammo through it and check the results.
How old is it?
How many rounds have been through it?
I've owned and carried these but have never been a big fan!

The guys have given you some great advice. Have you seen this shooting target before? I have found that printing this target, and putting a 3" Shoot-n-See in the dead center is a great learning/teaching aid, especially with a new weapon.
The Model 92 is a fairly accurate weapon and the sights should not need adjustment, but that does not mean that perhaps you might need a different weight bullet to get better results.
I would think shooting it off a set of sandbags at 6, 8 and 10 yards will yield results that you can see and extrapolate out moving back towards the 15 and 18 yard marks.

Thanks guys!! The 92FS has <300 rounds through it. Purchased last year. I'll do the sandbag thing and also have someone else shoot it.

If it does indeed shoot low (after the check outs mentioned), you can file down the front sight which will bring up the POA. I've had to do this on a number of fixed sight guns as I prefer mine are sighted in for a 6 o'clock hold...

did you buy it new?? i thought the 92fs came with dot over dot sights not 3 dot.

Well, it must be me. I had 2 other experienced guys test it and they were doing fine. I did the sandbag thing at 7 and 15 yds and I get good groups. Too me, it seems like I gotta line up the DOTS, not the BLADES. Thanks for your advice.
