I am looking into getting a few h&k pistols in the future, I know I want a mk.23 for the cool factor, and am considering a usp or 45 but am not really sure what the difference is between the usp and the new 45 are except for the look.

I also am interested in getting a H&K in the future. Mostly, I am interested in the USP .40. They look like great guns and I have heard great things about them.

USP 9mm is my club gun. Rarely has a hiccoup, except with a very rare dodgy reload...so I'd say its reliable. However it is pretty large & uncomfortable fit for my hand (have to reacquire the grip after recoil fairly often). As a lefty, just don't like dropping the slide stop or using the left mag release with my trigger finger either.

HK4, the only thing I'm missing is the screwdriver.

Never new any former HK owners--most become obsessed once they own one...

I recently bought my first handgun ever, at the age of 34. It's an HK USP compact in .40 caliber. This was after handling the numerous offerings at the local gun store.
